Turkey Earthquake

Today at 1:41 this afternoon (while i was in relief society) a huge earthquake of 7.2 hit the region of Van in Eastern Turkey. Please pray for those suffering from this disaster. As of right now 87 people are dead and over 10000 are injured. This is only those that have been brought to the hospital and many more lay dead and trapped in the rubble. Sweet sweet Derin was tearing up while watching the news tonight. It is a sad thing. I am just grateful that it did not hit Istanbul. It would have been so much worse in this huge and extremely populated old city. What a blessing. Please keep Turkey in your thoughts and prayers! Thank you.

Truth, Love, and Life

Life is crazy. I have no idea where it will take me. The only thing I do know is that I have the Lord and his church and it will always be there no matter where i am. I also know that he has promised me the most incredible blessings if I live in His name. Even though everything around me is constantly changing I have something I know is truth and that I can hold on to. This is what gets me through every day.

French Dreaming

Well its done. i am officially completely in love with France. From the moment i stepped off that plane everything was absolutely amazing. I was surrounded by beautiful things, and cute little French houses with bright vibrant flowers hanging from every window. It all seemed natural and organic :) funny way of putting it but its true. Most of the houses are really old, not like the states bound one that are made of wood, these are made of brick, stone or concrete which means they last for hundreds of years! Outside nature was getting fall on and turning all kinds of pretty oranges, browns, and yellow but you still had the vibrant green everywhere. Amazing.

Now this is my new dream. When i am older with my hubby and when the kids are all moved out I want to buy a little house in the French countryside with a little French garden in the back. Yupp thats the dream :) pretty good i think.

I am telling you France was enchanting!

I got to go to an actual ward which was awesome! And we got to hang out with some of the best missionaries. it was so nice to be around the gospel again and around a bunch of people my own age :) we had so much fun
i might give you more details later but at this point i have so much to catch up on this is what you get. I will post more photos later after i go through them. I only took about 1000 so it is taking me a while lol

Bonjour!!

Hey in a few hours i will be on a plane to Paris France!! i am so super stoked! I am meeting my good friend and FHE brother from school Ben and he is going to show me around, in face he planned everything! he is awesome! so this will be a great surprise! :) i am so excited!

sad part is that i said goodbye to derin and she was crying, upset that i had to leave. I love that little girl. its going to be so hard when i have to say goodbye and go home.

Paris here i come!! :)
