Waiting for Guffman (1996)

If you love Princess Bride there is a good change you will like this movie. It was written, produced and directed by the six fingered man! (Christopher Guest) It is a very fun movie about the small Missouri town of Blaine who are putting on a play about the history of the town. The quirky play director named Corkey (Guest)is a dreamer whose only credentials is that he actually has been in New York. The cast of the play if full of great characters played by great actors (Eugene Levy, and Catherine O'Hara just to name a few). The only one with real talent in the show (even though they all think they are something special) is the trumpet/drum player in the orchestra. Yes that's right, he plays both, at the same time! My favorite part of the play is the alien song. Its good. so check out this fun obscure movie Waiting for Guffman. Noting also it is rated R for some language(about 4) and one of the characters talks about his penis reduction surgery.

Late Night

Today was quite nice. Sean and I woke up slowly and got to enjoy our morning. I have really been a fan of these last couple of Saturday mornings. Last week Sean brought me breakfast and then we spent several hours eating and watching Pushing Daisies the TV show. Great morning. Today before Sean had to leave and in between getting school work done We watched an Aaron family classic, Waiting for Guffman. After Sean left I had a night of cleaning, writing my paper, movies, and bunny. Bunny has been super funny tonight. Very much a cuddle bug. Also when I decided to try on my wedding dress again for the first time since the wedding (its normal right??), lets just say he was not a fan of the fluffy, rustling, in his way wedding dress. So now i am sitting on my big new couch (new as in Seans Aunt was moving and didnt want to take it across country), and browsing the internets to keep me awake while I wait for Sean in my Turkish Parka. I think its time for bed. Take care!

Ohayo (Good Morning)

This is a Japanese Film directed by YasujirĂ´ Ozu. (1959) Sean and I borrowed this movie from his brother Steve and watched it the other night with our bunny. This is a fantastic movie and if you are anything like me (i only learn about a years worth of a language and somehow never learn more) this is a great movie to pick up the random Japanese you know. It was a fun film about families, gossip, growing up, keeping up with the Jones and so much more! The main theme about the movie is about two young boys who go on a silence strike to get their parents to buy a TV so that they can watch Sumo wrestling. A very fun and witty film. One of our very favorite things about this movie was the younger brother, who despite his love for his parents wanted to follow and please his brother. Almost every thing that boy does or says will make you crack up. Great Film. i highly recommend it! 4 stars on the Ana Aaron rating!

Mahogany Sessions

THis is my new obsession I am telling you. I am even choosing to listen over watching Netflix at work! (Big deal people, I love my Psych) Really now this is good good stuff. Lately I have been disappointed in my music knowledge of the day. SOmewhere between Turkey and getting married I have gotten completely out of touch with music. This is my redemption from the good ol source youtube. THe mahogany sessions has a ton of great artists that may not be so well known playing acoustic versions of their songs. Great stuff. Its like I struck gold, musical gold. SO here it is, one of my favorite new songs.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KI13Pe6IvDc

Its Been A While....

Other than a song by Stained, it really has been a while since I have posted. I am redesigning what I want to do with my blog and hopefully I will be committed enough to actually do it! THis means I have to learn the language to the blog! If anyone has tips ro ideas please let me know! I am lost. It is quite sad actually but hey, you have to start somewhere right?? I want to talk about life, film, music, crafts, psychology, and other fun things. (hoping its not too boring!) Take care!
